FlightLab: FlightAcademy
Aircraft Construction for Everyone
With the FlightAcademy, FlightLab MUC is planning a new workshop format for interested individuals and students at the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
Over the course of a weekend, students can work with us to build their own small aircraft and subsequently learn how to fly it. The program is explicitly open to those with no prior experience in model aviation, aircraft construction, or aeronautical engineering.
The goal of the FlightAcademy is to provide an accessible, hands-on introduction to aircraft construction. Participants learn fundamental principles of aerodynamics, design, manufacturing, and flight control by working directly on their own models.
What is on the agenda?
Participants will build a simple model aircraft in supervised groups, receive support from experienced FlightLab MUC members, and gain their first hands-on flying experience.
There is a small fee for participation. This serves solely to cover the costs of materials and the event itself.
Who is the FlightAcademy for?
The FlightAcademy is open to anyone—including students—interested in building and flying their own aircraft.
No prior experience is required. All that matters is interest, motivation, and a desire to have fun trying something new together.
